Yes, the last show of the current run of I Hear a New World is tomorrow night Tuesday 20th May, 7-8:30pm on www.freshair.org.uk. If the show returns (not sure what my plans are yet) it won't be until the Autumn.

Thanks to everyone who got in touch last week, it was the best show yet due to your kind comments and excellent requests (See tracklisting). There are a few which I didn't have time to play which I'll definitely play this week.

Don't forget there will still be a brand new podcast every month to tie in with the column for The Skinny Magazine and you can now subscribe directly in iTunes.

Tonight at 7-8:30pm (in UK) on www.freshair.org.uk, we'll be playing tracks by some more artists playing this year's Tigerfest, plus something new from the Tindersticks (pictured) and something old by Tim Buckley. Digital Plamf has probably topped his own track record with a gorgeous track by Avrocar. And seeing as we had a rare MES free programme last week, the featured album will be The Fall's newie, Imperial Wax Solvent.

TAKING REQUESTS FOR THE LAST SHOW NEXT WEEK!

Next week is the last radio show until the Autumn (if it returns at all), so we'll be eschewing the usual wilful obscurism (is that a word?) to play a bunch of classic pop, rock, soul, funk, dance - you name it - plus any requests - get them to me by Sunday night by posting comments here or emailing me.

Thanks to everyone who listened to the show last Tuesday - it wasn't ideal going up against the Champions League Semi-final, but some loyal listeners turned the sound down and listened to the show anyway, although the eclectic tracklisting was probably quite a strange accompaniment. Things kicked off with some 80's period Leonard Cohen, just to prove i wasn't bitter about not getting tickets to his Edinburgh gig - and then I played Jazz Police, probably his worst ever track, just to prove I was bitter about not getting tickets to his Edinburgh gig. (Mind you it didn't stop Swivel Chair ripping the song off for the Manarak video.)

I asked listeners for their opinions on various TV shows, including Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Mad Men, and The Wire. Steve from Ohio emailed the studio to say that he thought the Chronicles show was good but it was hard to care about the characters. I agreed with his assessment that it was enjoyable but flawed but then confessed on air that I had a crush on the female terminator, played by Summer Glau, who is also highly watchable in Joss Whedon's film Serenity. Then by good fortune I realised I had the original Terminator theme tune with me, so of course I gave it a spin. Anyway, all of the above is basically an excuse to post this cool poster for the show on my website. What about the music, I hear you ask!

Well, having just been at an excellent gig on Sunday night by The Wave Pictures at Edinburgh's Cabaret Voltaire, followed by a rare Tracer Trails gig across the road at the City Cafe by Stanley Brinks, aka Andre Herman Dune, and his partner Clemence Freschard which was bloody incredible, I had to play a song by all of them. The comedy song of the night was Jilted John, by Jilted John (more commonly known as John Shuttleworth). And the rest you can see in the tracklisting!

The next show is same time, same place - 7pm UK time, www.freshair.org.uk. Digital Plamf's back with a quality unsung heroes choice, and for the next three weeks we'll be previewing Tigerfest 2008, taking place throughout May in Fife, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
